Podiatric Physician
Surgeon of the Foot and Ankle

Dr. Doan specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of various conditions affecting the foot and ankle.

We provide a comprehensive evaluation of your foot or ankle condition including a history and physical examination. If indicated, other tests such as x-rays, MRI, CT Scan, or ultrasound imaging of the foot and ankle will be performed.

Dr. Doan earned his Podiatric Medical degree at the California College of Podiatric Medicine (now Samuel Merritt College of Podiatric Medicine). He then completed a two-year residency specializing in medical and surgical treatment of foot and ankle conditions at San Francisco California and Phoenix Arizona. Dr. Doan has been in private practice for 12 years.

WHAT IS PODIATRY?

A podiatrist or doctor of podiatry is the only health professional whose entire training is focused on the foot and ankle.

Podiatrists receive extensive training in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disorders of the foot and ankle, including medical or surgical methods. Many podiatrists further their training through participation in a postgraduate, hospital-based residency program.

After completion of their doctorate degree, a podiatrist must pass national and state examinations in order to be licensed in the state in which they practice.

The Spine Institute Northwest offers a wide range of podiatry treatments for foot and ankle disorders including, but not limited to:

  • Diabetic foot disorders
  • Heel pain, heel spur
  • Bunions and hammertoes
  • Ingrown toenails and fungal toenails
