When every reputable source is telling you to avoid going out into public spaces as much as possible, and you see closures and cancellations of schools and public events, it’s understandable to hesitate at the thought of venturing out for a surgical procedure.
This is why we want to make sure that our patients are aware that Spine Institute Northwest is an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). What does this mean for you? It means that at SINW, we have high standards in place to prevent the spread of infection in our facility. Because of this, we do not see patients with flu or cold symptoms or patients with respiratory issues. We also maintain a high standard of cleanliness for our facility that keeps the spread of viruses by contacting infected surfaces at bay. This provides a safe environment for our patients, especially at a time when avoiding exposure to a virus is imperative.
Our facility is meant only for the use of our patients, and because we have consultations in place that allow us to determine if someone is an appropriate candidate for our procedures, we will not see patients that could potentially contribute to the spread of coronavirus.
Recommendations to prevent the transmission of infections including seasonal respiratory infections have long been a part of our procedures for cleanliness at our facility in order to maintain the health and safety of our select patients. SINW has always maintained the highest standards to prevent infections of any kind and will continue to do so at this time.
