Imagine being dogged by pain not only every waking moment of your day, but also all night long — and looking for help everywhere, but finding little relief. This was the life that Jason Skidmore led before he found the Spine Institute Northwest.
Jason at first thought his leg pain was temporary, but over time it only got worse. “Being in pain affected everything…, nearly every aspect of my life,” he recalls. “It got so bad where I couldn’t work.” Jason was in pain all day, and even sleep was out of reach — his leg pain kept him up at night, and when he could catch some Z’s, it awoke him.
Jason tried nearly everything to free himself from the pain. He began with noninvasive remedies like chiropractic adjustments, physical therapy, and massage therapy, but those provided no relief. Later he was freed from pain by injections — but like a curse, the pain always returned.
Jason’s luck finally began to turn around when he visited the Spine Institute Northwest. “I liked the way Dr. Kamson just takes his time to explain things,” Jason remembers. The roots of his leg pain were actually in his back, and Jason received endoscopically-guided lumbar decompression surgery at L4/5. After this minimally invasive procedure at the Spine Institute Northwest, Jason was able to leave the recovery room pain free. Thanks to Dr. Kamson and the physicians and staff at the Spine Institute Northwest, Jason has a new, pain-free, lease on life.
