Research

Home Research

OUR GOAL AT THE SPINE INSTITUTE NORTHWEST IS TO PROVIDE THE HIGHEST QUALITY HEALTHCARE.

To achieve this goal, we monitor certain procedures by collecting surgical outcome data and comparing it to current literature statistics. This provides us with information as to where we stand and what areas we can focus on to improve our services and techniques. It also allows us to share our data with the healthcare community, addressing issues including ambulatory surgery center quality control, minority healthcare topics, surgical epidemiology, emerging technology, and many others.

The outcomes research movement is transforming surgical care and the surgical community. Outcomes researchers help identify areas of concern where healthcare providers may apply their knowledge and experience to improve care and services. Outcomes research not only allows providers to improve the healthcare field, it also empowers patients and insurers with vital information to help determine the medical necessity of proposed procedures.
