The Spine Institute Northwest achieved the highest honor in pain management awarded by the World Institute of Pain (WIP), the Excellence in Pain Practice Award for Comprehensive Multidisciplinary Pain Practice. This is the highest international honor in pain management.
WIP is an international organization that allows physicians from all over the world to network and share knowledge related to the study and treatment of acute and chronic pain. Through World Congresses, international and regional symposia, and practical workshops, WIP helps innovations made by physicians in one part of the world to be distributed as widely as possible. WIP member physicians assess and contribute to the scholarly body of articles, case studies, practice guidelines, and evidence‐based compositions in the WIP journal, Pain Practice. WIP also seeks to foster the highest standards of education, training, and research through their Excellence in Pain Practice Awards, which are awarded under the auspices of the WIP Global Outreach Fellowship Program.
Receiving the Excellence in Pain Practice Award is a reflection of the work of everyone on our team at the Spine Institute Northwest. It acknowledges the research done by our physicians, our implementation of best practices and cutting-edge techniques, and our continuing efforts to learn and collaborate in order to bring our patients relief from pain.
