“I Was Surprised How Soon I Could Walk After Surgery”: Kathleen Cowitz-Laski

Kathleen was once an active grandmother, who enjoyed many activities, including owning her own house cleaning business. As the years went by, she lost mobility due to chronic back pain. “My leg actually felt like concrete. I couldn’t lift it, and to get into the car was bad!”

The loving grandmother continued working, but needed a walker just to get from one place to another. “It hurt. The pain affected my life a lot,” she continued.

Upon the recommendation of her chiropractor, Kathleen sought treatment with Dr. Kamson at the Spine Institute Northwest. “I was greeted very nicely. I really enjoyed Dr. Kamson and his little jokes,” she says. Kathleen underwent lumbar decompression surgery and it changed her life. “I was surprised how soon I could walk after recovery. It was like nothing was ever wrong…I didn’t need my walker anymore,” she explains.

Kathleen has returned to an active lifestyle. She can do more around the house and enjoys her grand kids. “I like being able to lift them up and play with them again,” she says.

Gaining her life back, Kathleen has recommended three people to the Spine Institute Northwest so far, confident that others can enjoy a new life, too!

Hear more of Kathleen’s story and why she recommends Dr. Solomon Kamson to others’ who suffer from chronic back pain.
